Easy Eggless Choco Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • Softened Unsalted Butter - 40g / ¼  cup 
  • White Sugar (powdered) -  55g / ¼ cup + 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence- 5ml / 1 tsp
  • All Purpose Flour- 90g / ¾ cup
  • Baking Powder - 2.5g / ½ tsp
  • Salt - 1.25g / ¼ tsp 
  • Choco chips - 120g / ½ cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 mins and line the baking tray with an aluminum foil and on top of that line it with parchment paper to balance the heat.
  2. In a large bowl, whip together the softened butter, powdered white sugar, using  a hand blender until it turns light and creamy then add vanilla essence and mix well.
  3. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the butter mixture.

  5. Add the choco chips and fold again until they are evenly distributed and form a  dough ball.
  6. Use a scoop or roll it with your hands to form cookie dough balls and flatten them up according to your desired cookie size. Top them up with more choco chips and place it on the baking tray. 
  7. Bake the cookies at 180°C for 12 mins or until they turn golden brown but still doughy in the middle. 
  8. Take out of the oven, rest them on the baking tray for 5 mins for the cookies to turn firm. 
  9. Serve with chilled milk for an ultimate treat!

    How To Make Eggless Choco Chip Cookies

    Can I freeze the eggless choco chip dough to use it later ?

    Yes, you can freeze eggless choco chip cookie dough for later use. Simply shape the dough into individual cookie portions, place them on a baking sheet to freeze, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag. When ready to bake, you can bake them from frozen or let them thaw slightly.

    Can I use salted butter in choco chip cookies?
    In chocolate chip cookies, you can use salted butter, but do not add additional salt to the recipe to maintain a balance in the overall saltiness.
