Ingredients
- Powder sugar - 30 g / 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon powder - 1.5 g / 1/2 tsp
- Water - 240 g / 1 cup
- Butter - 30 g / 2 tbsp
- Granulated sugar - 12.5 g / 1 tbsp
- Vanilla essence - 2.5 g / 1/2 tsp
- Maida (all-purpose flour) - 120 g / 1 cup
- Chopped milk chocolate - 90 g / 1/2 cup
- Whipping cream - 120 g / 1/2 cup
Instructions
- In a mixer grinder, add the sugar.
- Whip it once for a second and then turn it off, aiming for a slightly finer sugar texture. Avoid turning it into powdered sugar.
- Transfer the sugar to a wide bowl.
- Mix the cinnamon powder into the sugar thoroughly.
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and butter.
- Stir everything on high heat until it has melted.
- Allow the water to come to a boil.
- At this point, turn off the heat and add the flour to the mixture, mixing well until you achieve a smooth dough without lumps. Set it aside to cool.
- Heat oil in a kadai on the side.
- Meanwhile, Place the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
- Pipe the churros to a length of 5 to 6 inches on a surface lined with parchment paper.
- Once all the churros are piped and the oil is hot, carefully drop the churros into the oil.
- Fry them until they turn light golden-brown.
- After frying, place the churros in a sieve to drain any excess oil.
- Once drained, coat the churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- To prepare the chocolate sauce, first, chop the chocolate.
- Combine chopped chocolate and cream in a bowl.
- Then, keep it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
- Stir in between, until you achieve a sauce-like consistency.
- Plate the churros with the milk chocolate sauce on the side.
