You can top your spiced hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of additional cinnamon or nutmeg.
How can I make hot chocolate less rich and decadent without losing flavor?
You can use half a cup of dark chocolate instead of ¾ cup or dilute it with some hot water to maintain the flavor while reducing richness.

Start with a small amount, like a couple of tablespoons, and adjust according to your taste. It should still taste like hot chocolate!
